Aether Pony Expanded Race Infomation!

Aether Ponies

Height:  Most tend to be slightly smaller then normal ponies the top of there heads coming to about a normal ponies shoulder.

Weight: they tend to be on the thin side with slender frames.
Lifespan: 100-200 years

Diet: Flowers and fruit mostly they love sweets and as such make or buy them when ever they can. They also have quite the perchance for mushrooms and will grow them in rings around there homes witch they harvest for food.  

History: Not much is known about how Aether Ponies evolved but what is known is they used to be just like the normal ponies in equestria long ago. some say they were blessed by ethereal beings who granted them the ability to tap into the Aether. others believe they evolved like other ponies and are simply an offshoot who has harnessed magic differently then unicorns.

However what is known is in there early history they split off from the regular ponies disagreeing with the idea of cultivating the land instead of living with it. once they split form the regular ponies they found new homes deep inside the darkest woods where they live in harmony with nature.

Appearance:
Aether ponies are slender by nature with delicate features they can have fetlocks  and even fluffier fur but, most tend to be sleek coated. there hair length is determined by several factors (social standing, gender, and personalty preference) longer hair in females is often used to signify higher class while with males it is the opposite.

The most stand out feature of the Aether Ponies is there orbs attached to there ears by semi ridged stalks made of cartilage. The orbs themselves are hard and almost glass like having very little give.  These orbs are what contain there magic with they call the Aether. it is power pulled from the plants and animals around them. The more wild the area is the more powerful there magic is.

Racial Personality:
Most tend to be very shy and untrusting of regular ponies. They can also be highly mischievous towards ponies that wonder into there forest making the trees and animals act in unpredictable ways. with those of there own race however they are very trusting and often band together with them living in large groups amonst the trees where they make there homes out of natural material they can gather without harming the plants and animals.


Habitat: dense Forests

Intelligence and Emotional Capacity:
They tend to be highly emotionally charged ponies tho on occasion some are more level headed. There IQ varies just like normal ponies.

Relationships:
They tend to be poly-amorous meaning that males and females don't stay in bonded pairs for life. Marriage is the exception not the rule.

The Aether:
This is the power that the Aether ponies contain in there body channeled into and thru there orbs. this is the power of nature around them as such they tend to not do well in cities and towns that regular ponies live in. in fact many who visit the cities become weak and ill as such they avoid them at all costs.

Most use there magic to grow the plants and animals around them making there homes even more dense with life.
